things i miss from the suburbs:

• the hum and/or buzz of lawncare equipment
• the slap of screen doors with poorly functioning hinges
• the momentary feeling of robinson-crusoe-like-survival when eating a blade of onion grass

i would add:

• lying shirtless on deck chairs that have spent the morning warming up in the sun and switching to a fresh one once they have cooled down
