There are just over 100 people in the world serving sentences of life without the possibility of parole for crimes they committed as juveniles in which no one was killed. All are in the United States.

You know what that times does not mention? Joe Harris, the main focus of the article, raped a 72 year old women so badly she needed to have corrective surgery. I am not saying he should be denied a right to parole, but I have a hard time finding sympathy for him.
I wonder why the NYT left that part out?
