I am walking through Penn Station listening to the euphoric yelps of people here for the first time and seeing the heavy shoulders of those here too long. New York is a place of extremes. Discomfit and beauty, hardship and frightening pleasure, the very rich and very poor and here in Penn Station, the ecstatic walk with the downtrodden.
